The Authoring Section 508 Compliant Documents Program focuses on using Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro built-in tools to create smart documents that have enhanced functionality, improved readability, and are accessible for persons with disabilities.    

Courses included in the program:

  1. What Is Section 508 and why Is It Important?
  2. Authoring Section 508 Compliant Microsoft Word Documents 
  3. Authoring Section 508 Compliant PDF Documents 
  4. Authoring Section 508 Compliant PowerPoint Documents 
  5. Authoring Section 508 Compliant Excel Documents

Prerequisite: What is it Section 508 and why it is Important? (All students will automatically be enrolled in the self-paced, web based prerequisite course.)

Target Audience: Anyone who wants to create Section 508 conformant documents.

Delivery Method: Web-based in four 90-minute sessions

Note: Students registering for the Authoring Section 508 Compliant Documents training will also be enrolled in the Authoring Section 508 Compliant Documents Q&A board.  The Q&A board can be used to review and submit questions related to the training course.  To access the Q&A board go to the Navigation Menu > Messages Boards > Authoring Section 508 Compliant Documents Q&A.
