The Trusted Tester for Web Certification provides a path to earn the Trusted Tester Certification for Web on the Windows. Students will learn about the Section 508 Standards applicable to the web, how to install and use web accessibility test tools, and how to apply the Trusted Tester process for testing websites and web applications for conformance to the Section 508 Standards.  

Upon completion of Trusted Tester for Web Certification, students will be able to identify the Section 508 Standards for web, use the tools, and test process to evaluate websites and web applications for conformance to the Revised Section 508 Standards.  Students that score at least 85 % on their final exam will receive their certification from the DHS Accessibility Help Desk within 7-10 business days.

Prerequisites: None. 
Target Audience: Anyone who wants to become a Certified Trusted Tester, Program Managers, Developers, and System Owners. 
Program Duration:Limited to 180 days. 
Delivery Method:Web-based, self-paced. 

Trusted Tester Q&A Board: Students registering for the Trusted Tester training will also be enrolled in the Trusted Tester Q&A board.  The interactive message board allows students to ask and answer questions from other students about the concepts and materials presented in the Trusted Tester training courses.

Submit an Issue: Available on the navigation menu and can be used by students to submit technical issues related to courses.

  • To become a Certified Trusted Tester, you must complete and pass all courses, the practice exam, and the Trusted Tester for Web Certification exam.
